Is Dadoku free?
Yes. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions; the app is supported by ads.
How many ads are there?
There are no full-screen ads. There is one banner that never covers the board, and ads you choose to watch when you want an extra hint or to refill your lives.
What are the rules of Sudoku?
Fill the 9×9 grid so that every row, every column, and every 3×3 box contains the digits 1 to 9 exactly once. The numbers already on the board are your clues.
Are there boards smaller than 9×9?
Yes, 4×4 and 6×6. They are a good start if you are new to Sudoku, or when you only have a minute.
Does every puzzle have only one solution?
Yes. Every puzzle is built to have exactly one solution and is solved again to check before it ships. A finished board is judged by the rules, so a correctly solved puzzle is never marked wrong.
How many difficulty levels are there?
Six: Beginner, Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert, and Extreme (4×4 goes up to Expert). You can pick up to Medium from the start, and each level above it opens when you clear every stage of the one before.
Is there a new puzzle every day?
Yes. A daily puzzle opens every day, and everyone in the world solves the same board that day. Solve on consecutive days to build a streak.
Can I play offline? Do I need an account?
You can play offline and there is no account. Puzzles are made on your device, and your games and statistics stay there.
Is Sudoku good for your brain?
Sudoku is a logic puzzle: you fill each cell by reasoning through the rules, which makes it good practice for focus and step-by-step thinking, and a daily puzzle is an easy habit to keep. Dadoku does not claim medical benefits such as preventing dementia.
Does it work on tablets?
Yes. Held sideways, a tablet shows the timer, tools, and number pad in a panel beside the board; held upright, they sit below it.
