Privacy Policy

와플 (the "Company") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws, and publishes this policy to protect your personal information. It applies to the Sudoku app "Dadoku" (the "Service") and the website dadoku.app.

Article 1. What we collect and how

The Service has no sign-up or sign-in. We do not collect your name, phone number, location, contacts, or photos. These three things are all we collect:

Article 2. Why we use it

  1. To show ads in the app, limit repeats, and prevent invalid clicks
  2. To total and show how many players solved today's puzzle
  3. To answer your messages

Article 3. How long we keep it

  1. We delete information without delay once its purpose is fulfilled.
  2. Daily puzzle results are stored only as totals per date and difficulty; no per-person record is made. The server that receives them does not store IP addresses.
  3. Support email is deleted once your inquiry is resolved, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
  4. Electronic files are deleted permanently so they cannot be recovered.

Article 4. Sharing with third parties

We do not share your personal information with third parties, except with your prior consent or where the law requires it.

Your advertising identifier is processed by Google in the course of showing ads (Article 5). Personalised ads are shown only with your consent; otherwise you see non-personalised ads.

We entrust the following tasks to these processors:

If a processor or task changes, we will update this policy.

Article 6. International transfers

Some information may be processed on servers outside the Republic of Korea while Google shows ads and Cloudflare runs the website and the results server. What is transferred, where, how, and for how long follows each processor's policies; you can ask us for details.

Article 7. Your rights and choices

  1. Stop sending daily puzzle results: Settings › Data › "Send anonymous stats" in the app. When off, nothing is sent and nothing is saved to send later.
  2. Change your consent to personalised ads: where a consent form is shown, use Settings › Data › "Ad settings" in the app. On iOS you can also use Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking on your device.
  3. Reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings.
  4. Delete the records on your device by deleting the app.
  5. Ask to see or delete an email you sent us: write to support@dadoku.app and we will act without delay.

Article 8. Children

We do not collect age information and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. A parent or guardian can ask us through support to see or delete an email their child sent us.

Article 9. Security

  1. Access to information is kept to the minimum needed.
  2. Data in transit is encrypted (TLS), and the servers are designed not to hold information that identifies you.
  3. Physical access to data centres is controlled by our cloud providers.

Article 10. Automatic collection

  1. The app uses the advertising identifier to show ads (Article 1).
  2. The website dadoku.app does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
